Research Collaboration from LUQ Members

One of our members, grad student Normandie González-Orellana, would like to ask for your support on documenting Farmstands in Puerto Rico.

This project was initiated as a collaboration between The Learning Partnership, Forward Learning, and the Department of Education to introduce spatial reasoning and ArcGIS to schools in Puerto Rico. Our target is to create a map of farmstands in Puerto Rico to further explore food availability and accessibility. Together we can collect enough data to further comprehend food security in the archipelago.

You can add data on a Farmstand using the Survey123. Collected data can be seen in the Dashboard. Some information about food security in Puerto Rico and the USA is available in the brochure. You can take a look at the supermarket chain map.

Thank you,
